Mirzapur: The Film- Jitendra Kumar steps into Vikrant Massey’s shoes as Bablu Pandit

Fans of Mirzapur have been buzzing with excitement ever since the hit web series was announced to be adapted into a feature film. The much-loved crime drama is currently being shot, featuring a powerhouse cast that includes Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Ali Fazal, and Abhishek Banerjee.

According to Mid-Day, Vikrant Massey “lent innocence and a subtle strength to Bablu Pandit.” That “naïvety will remain intact with Jitendra’s portrayal as he brings an affability and sincerity to the screen.”

His chemistry with Ali Fazal is also expected to be a highlight. Industry insiders believe Jitendra’s inclusion brings both acting prowess and popularity, especially among audiences in India’s heartland.

“In Jitendra, the makers have not only found a [good] actor but, from the perspective of visibility, he is extremely popular in the heartland,” a close source was quoted as saying.

Excel Entertainment, the production house behind Mirzapur, reportedly plans a grand announcement to welcome Jitendra Kumar to the franchise. However, this official reveal is expected early next year once the principal filming wraps up.
