Karan Johar in his latest post shared earlier today urged Indians to support local artisans and weavers this Diwali. The boss of Dharma Productions penned an elaborate message wishing everyone a Happy Diwali. He captioned his message, "#Local4Diwali."

Karan wrote, "We came together to honour our weavers on National Handloom Day & with our support it has ensured successful sales for many in need. On the 9th of November, we are making a kind appeal for you to support our weavers, artisans, textile companies, and establishments. Together they bring a joy of a simple earthen Diya, Rangoli, and other Diwali embellishments to your local market."

The famous director added, "This Diwali we urge you to join hands and show some festive support on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Take a picture of your favourite article and tag the person you purchase it from and go #Local4Diwali. Let the trend begin on 9th November! Homegrown and made with love, it's our time to let the lights shine on them."

On National Handloom Day earlier this year, many Bollywood celebrities came forward to support Indian weavers and artisans. From Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra to Yami Gautam many leading B-town personalities shared pictures wearing dresses and sarees weaved by Indian weavers.

Karan Johar Releases Illustration Book For Children - Big Thoughts of Love

The Bombay Velvet actor released a book for children-Big Thoughts of Love recently. It is an illustration book with creative inputs by Priya Kurian. In his post, Karan wrote, "Phew - Yash & Roohi find the book funny! I hope Big Thoughts of Little Luv makes your little ones laugh just as much as these two! You can now pre-order the book on Amazon & Flipkart!"

The accompanying video clip also shows his twins Yash and Roohi with the latter saying that the book is funny. The moment Roohi says that Yash starts laughing. Karan says, 'That's a whole lot of performance. The book is funny but it's also really relevant and a quick read too."
