Kangana Ranaut today unveiled the first look of her upcoming movie Tejas. Undoubtedly the actress looks dashing as a pilot. Importantly since Janhvi Kapoor's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl released earlier this month, it was but natural for the cinemagoers to make a comparison. Similar to Janhvi's Gunjan Saxena, Kangana will portray a character of pilot in Tejas.

Kangana Ranaut's Tejas Is A Fiction Whereas Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl Is a Biopic

According to the reports Tejas by Ronnie Screwvala and team is a fiction. Earlier there were rumors that the flick is a sequel to Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. But that is not true. The fictitious drama takes inspiration from Indian Air Force. On the other hand Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is a biopic of a lady air force pilot by the same name.

Revealing his intentions behind producing Tejas, its producer Ronnie Screwvala said, "We wanted to make a film on the army so Uri happened. Tejas is not a sequel to Uri, because that was a true story and this isn’t. but it is on the same lines and on the same scale.”

Kangana is at loggerheads with all the star kids because of the nepotism issue. Even then the debacle and controversy of Janhvi Kapoor's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will most probably help in making Tejas a success. It is because Janhvi's movie produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions got strangled in controversies after its release.

While those supporting Sushant Singh Rajput boycotted it, the IAF slammed Johar for showing its organization in a bad light. Moreover, a retired Flight Lieutenant Sreevidya Rajan slammed the claims that Gunjan Saxena was the first Indian woman pilot to fly during the Kargil war.

As a result, Bollywood fans are now looking up to Tejas to give them a realistic picture of the IAF. Many believe that since it is Kangana Ranaut's movie it will surely give the due respect to the soldiers that they deserve.

Janhvi Kapoor also received a lot of bashing for acting as Gunjan Saxena. From her salute to her body language critics too thought that she is work-in-progress.

On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut over the years has emerged as one of the finest actresses of Bollywood. That is why fans believe that she would be able to do justice to her role in Tejas.
