Ranveer Singh is basking in the massive success of Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The high-octane entertainer has stormed past the Rs 800 crore mark domestically, while its worldwide earnings have reportedly touched Rs 1,186.25 crore. Featuring an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun, the film has further cemented Singh’s box-office dominance.

A New Genre, A Bold Move
With Dhurandhar still making waves, attention has swiftly shifted to Ranveer Singh’s next- Pralay, a zombie thriller that promises a drastic shift in genre. Zombie films remain largely unexplored in mainstream Hindi cinema, barring Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s cult hit Go Goa Gone, whose sequel continues to be demanded by fans even today.
Kalyani Priyadarshan Steps into Bollywood
Adding to the buzz, reports suggest that Kalyani Priyadarshan has been signed on as the female lead in Pralay. Fresh from the success of Dulquer Salmaan-backed Lokah: Chapter 1 Chandra, the actress is set to make her Bollywood debut with this ambitious project.
Directed by Jai Mehta, son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta, Pralay will see Kalyani paired opposite Ranveer Singh.
Big Budget, Bigger Vision
Industry insiders reveal that Pralay is being mounted on a grand scale, with heavy emphasis on VFX and immersive world-building. For Kalyani, who has predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema, this film marks a significant step toward a Pan-India presence.
Excitement Builds Despite Silence
Although an official announcement from the makers is still awaited, casting director Mukesh Chabra recently fueled speculation with a post on X stating, "Can’t wait to start #Pralay. Very excited!" (sic).
