Just as fans were settling into sequel expectations, a wave of social media chatter hinted at a shocking twist- the possible shelving of Devara: Part 2. Reports claimed that Jr NTR was seemingly unhappy with the latest draft narrated by Koratala Siva, describing it as feeling “forced” rather than a natural extension of the story.

The rumour mill churned aggressively, with online discussions suggesting the sequel might be put on hold indefinitely.

What Insiders and Fans Are Saying?

Amid the speculation, voices from within the industry stepped in to cool the chaos. An insider wrote, "I think I spoke too soon. #Devara2 is not shelved as talks are going on, it’s still in discussion and producers are very much want into it."

Earlier the user wrote, "#Devara2 looks like this film is shelved now, not confirmed. But this is why I absolutely hate film-makers who make films in two parts not even knowing if they will be able to make second part. Now who will tell us the cliffhanger?" (sic)

Meanwhile, fan pages rallied to shut down the misinformation. One page dedicated to the War 2 actor stated, "Over the past few days, several pages and articles have been wantedly spreading rumors that #Devara2 has been shelved. These reports are completely false. There are no changes & #Devara 2 is very much on track." (sic)
