Jai Hanuman: Teja Sajja clears the air on exit rumours from PVCU, Rishab Shetty-led film

Tollywood actor Teja Sajja became a pan-India name after the massive success of Prasanth Varma’s 2024 superhero spectacle HanuMan. Soon after, reports had confirmed his association with Jai Hanuman, the much-anticipated sequel set in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). However, the prolonged silence around the project recently sparked speculation that Teja had exited the film.

Social media chatter intensified as unverified claims suggested that the actor had stepped away due to concerns over limited screen presence and creative disagreements. The absence of official updates further added fuel to these rumours, leading many to assume that Teja was distancing himself from both the film and the PVCU.

Teja Sajja Breaks Silence on Exit Claims

The speculation was finally addressed when Hindustan Times reached out to Teja Sajja for clarification. Dismissing the reports outright, the actor stated that it was “false news” that he was no longer associated with Jai Hanuman.

With that brief but firm response, Teja put an end to claims of his alleged exit and reaffirmed his continued connection with the franchise.

What We Know About Jai Hanuman

So Far Jai Hanuman is positioned as a direct sequel to HanuMan and will feature Rishab Shetty in the titular role of Lord Hanuman. Speaking to HT in April 2024, Teja had explained that the sequel shifts its focus entirely to the deity rather than his superhero alter ego.

At the time, he said, “I will also be a part of Jai Hanuman (the sequel of HanuMan). The film will be all about Lord Hanuman, but I will be a part of it.”

Reiterating his excitement later in December 2024, he added, “I can’t wait to be on that set; it’ll be exciting.”

PVCU’s Expanding Mythological Vision

The closing moments of HanuMan hinted at a grander mythological arc, with Lord Hanuman emerging from the Himalayas to signal an epic confrontation ahead. In October 2024, the makers officially announced Rishab Shetty as the face of Hanuman.

While the film is yet to go on floors, Jai Hanuman remains a crucial chapter in the expanding PVCU, which also includes upcoming projects like Mahakali and Adhira.
