Prasanth Varma’s mythological superhero vision is ready to evolve once again. After the sweeping success of HanuMan in 2024, the filmmaker is moving forward with its much-anticipated sequel, Jai Hanuman. This time, the spotlight shifts to Kantara actor Rishab Shetty, who headlines the ambitious project.
If reports are to be believed, the film’s inaugural ceremony will be nothing short of monumental.

Launch Date and Venue Revealed?
A report by 123Telugu indicates that the makers are planning a grand launch event on February 22, 2026, in Hampi. The choice of the ancient town adds symbolic weight, given its historic and spiritual aura.
The same report mentions that Prasanth Varma has locked the script and concluded pre-production formalities. Cameras are expected to roll from April 2026.
A Divine Narrative Takes Center Stage
Unlike its predecessor, which traced the journey of a common man discovering extraordinary abilities, Jai Hanuman will directly focus on Lord Hanuman, portrayed by Rishab Shetty. Rana Daggubati is also part of the ensemble.
In HanuMan, Teja Sajja’s character gains powers reminiscent of Lord Hanuman and uses them to shield villagers from looming threats. He is likely to appear in a special role in the sequel, creating continuity within the universe.

The Expanding Vision of PVCU
Beyond this sequel, Prasanth Varma is steadily building the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), weaving together multiple superhero-driven narratives. Adhira, featuring S.J. Suryah and Dasari Kalyan, has already unveiled its teaser.

Another title in development is Mahakali, starring Bhoomi Shetty and Akshaye Khanna. Meanwhile, Simba, led by Nandamuri Taraka Rama Mokshagnya Teja, is also progressing, strengthening the foundations of this interconnected cinematic world.
With Jai Hanuman, Varma appears set to elevate mythology-infused superhero storytelling into a larger, more immersive saga.
