A quirky spy caper, Happy Patel marks Vir’s first outing as a filmmaker. A 15-second teaser placed at the end of the video showcases Vir in multiple eccentric looks, before cutting to a wide shot of Imran Khan, long-haired and glaring into the camera menacingly. Fans instantly spotted the cameo and began flooding social media with screengrabs.

Fan Reactions: From Shock to Celebration

A Reddit post summed up the collective meltdown with: “Imran Khan back in Bollywood.” Fans also expressed relief at his fresh approach to returning.

One wrote, “I'm happy he's doing a fun film and didn't force himself to have that typical male lead loverboy type comeback, excited for this and If it doesn't rely heavily on stereotypes it would be a fun film.” (sic)

Another fan simply cheered, “Good to see he is back.” (sic)

Imran’s last screen outing was the 2015 film Katti Batti, after which he slipped into an indefinite hiatus.
