IMDb Popular Indian Celebrities: Sara Arjun, Aditya Dhar outshine Vijay and Prabhas after Dhurandhar triumph

Actress Sara Arjun is basking in an extraordinary career high. Her latest release, Dhurandhar, continues its record-shattering theatrical run, and the buzz around her performance has now translated into massive online popularity.

IMDb Crown Goes to Sara

On Wednesday, IMDb unveiled its weekly Popular Indian Celebrities list, curated on the basis of audience interest and engagement. Sara, who stood second last week, surged to the top spot after earning acclaim for her role as Yalina in Dhurandhar.

In doing so, she surpassed stars like Vijay, Prabhas and Agastya Nanda. Close behind her is Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar, who climbed to the second position from third. 

Star-Studded Names Fill the Rankings

The latest list also features several prominent names across industries. Vijay secured the eighth position, followed by Agastya Nanda at 12th and Bhagyashri Borse at 15th. Filmmakers and actors such as Cibi Chakaravarthi (16), Yami Gautam (17), Prabhas (19), Sriram Raghavan (22), Tara Sutaria (24), Dinjith Ayyathan (27), Nivin (30) and Simar Bhatia (42) also made notable appearances.

Dhurandhar and the Box Office Milestone

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar has firmly etched its name in Indian cinema history. The Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller has emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in India.

As per makers and trade trackers, the film has collected ₹831.40 crore net domestically. On its 33rd day, it added nearly ₹5.70 crore net, surpassing the previous benchmark set by the Hindi version of Pushpa 2: The Rule. 

With the first film’s success still echoing, attention has shifted to Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19.
