Yesterday leading Kollywood star Dhanush received a bomb threat at his residence in Abhiramapuram in Chennai. Similarly, another Tamil celebrity Vijayakanth also received a bomb threat at his residence in Virugambakkam.
Immediately the police officers were notified. They conducted thorough research of Dhanush and Vijyakanth's houses with the help of sniffer dogs. Later on, the threats were found to be fake.
In their investigation, the police found out that the same person had threatened both Dhanush and Vijayakanth. However, the police are yet to grab and arrest the guilty.
Apart From Dhanush and Vijayakanth, Suriya and Rajinikanth were Also Threatened
In the last few months, several Kollywood stars have received bomb threats. A few months ago, superstar Rajinikanth also received a bomb threat. Later on, the investigation revealed that the hoax bomb threat was issued by a mentally challenged minor boy.
When the megastar came to know about the boy he offered financial help to the family. Rajinikanth also promised to pay for the educational expenses of the boy.
A couple of weeks ago Tamil star Suriya also received a bomb threat which later on turned out to be a hoax. Earlier on July 18, Thala Ajith also received a bomb threat for his house in Injambakkam. Even in this case, the threat was found to be fake and made by a mentally-ill person.
Fans are enraged at these threats plaguing their favorite Kollywood stars and want the police to put the culprits behind the bars.
Workwise, Dhanush has a couple of good movies in his kitty. It includes Karthik Subbaraj's Jagame Thandiram, a gangster flick which he wrapped up before the lockdown. It stars Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead.
Apart from that, he also has Mari Selvaraj's Karnan, a rural drama produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu's V Creations. According to reports, Dhanush is also doing a movie with Karthik Naren opposite Malavika Mohanan.
