Anushka Shetty is one of the most sought after actresses in the South Industry and after Baahubali, people across the country loved her and joined her fan club. After years of an impressive career in the South, everyone was eager to know as to when she will set her foot in the Bollywood industry but that wish never came true.

According to reports, Sweety had actually given her nod to a Bollywood project long back but unfortunately, it was delayed and eventually shelved. Director E Niwas has revealed that Anushka was all set to mark her debut in Bollywood with his directorial back in 2017, which is now shelved.

Speaking to the Pinkvilla, E Niwas said that the movie would not be happening any time further. He mentioned that certain requirements in the film were not being met and therefore the shooting dates kept getting pushed. He also revealed that the film faced a number of problems due to budget constraints also. The issues went on to become bigger until the makers decided to drop the project.

Confessing the failure of the project to hit the screens, the director said he loves to work with the reel life Devasena, but the film will never be able to revive after being shelved.

Anushka Shetty is currently garnering praises for her performance in Nishabdham where she plays a mute girl who witnessed a crime. The acting feels effortlessly natural and her character manages to put the audience at the edge of their seats.
