Why the sequel is titled Animal Park

Explaining the thought process behind the sequel’s title, Vanga hinted at a major expansion of the film’s central conflict. Speaking during the Zoom media session, he said Animal Park reflects a world with “more animals,” pointing specifically to Aziz, who represents another powerful force in the narrative. According to the filmmaker, the sequel will focus on an intense clash between two brothers who mirror each other, turning the story into a full-fledged war.

Vanga confirmed that once Spirit is wrapped, work on Animal Park will begin immediately, with shooting planned for mid-2027. The sequel is expected to scale up the violence, drama, and psychological intensity that defined the first film.

Ranbir Kapoor’s double role and future plans

Ranbir Kapoor, who joined the press interaction, expressed excitement about returning to the franchise. In Animal Park, Kapoor will reprise his role as Rannvijay Singh while also playing Aziz, the antagonist teased in the post-credits scene of Animal. He revealed that Vanga had a clear vision for part two even while filming the first installment, calling the experience creatively inspiring.

Industry buzz suggests Animal Park could be the second chapter of a planned trilogy, potentially surpassing the original film’s ₹900 crore global box-office haul.
