Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara didn’t just introduce a new romance to audiences- it launched two promising newcomers, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, into the limelight. The film’s emotional pull and sweeping music struck a chord nationwide, turning the fresh pairing into overnight sensations.
While the film’s success looks glamorous from the outside, both actors reveal that their approach was deeply personal and driven by intention rather than fame.

The One Thought That Guided Them
Speaking to Femina India, Aneet reflected on the mindset that kept them grounded throughout filming. She shared, "We kept saying one thing to each other: 'Let's remind the world of a kind of love they've forgotten. Let's do it for love.' We said it all the time."
That simple reminder became their creative compass, helping them focus on sincerity instead of performance pressure.
Beyond Performance, Toward Purpose
For Aneet, acting soon stopped being about technical perfection. She explained, "It stopped being about 'Am I acting well?' It became about whether we were serving the larger picture."
The shift allowed both actors to immerse themselves fully in the story rather than worry about individual praise.
Handling the Pressure Together
As expectations rose, moments of doubt naturally crept in. During those stressful phases, Ahaan offered comforting perspective. Aneet revealed he would say, "Who cares what the film does or doesn't do?"
That reassurance helped them stay connected to the heart of the project instead of box office anxiety.
IMDb Glory and Nationwide Buzz
The film’s impact translated into measurable success too. Saiyaara, backed by Yash Raj Films and directed by Mohit Suri, claimed the No. 1 spot on IMDb’s Top 10 Most Popular Indian Movies of 2025 list. Its emotionally rich narrative and hit soundtrack sparked conversations globally.
IMDb’s yearly rankings further cemented the film’s influence. With over 250 million monthly visitors contributing to page views, Ahaan Panday emerged as the most popular actor of the year, followed closely by Aneet Padda. Mohit Suri also topped the platform’s inaugural Most Popular Indian Directors list.
Aneet Padda’s Steady Rise
Long before Saiyaara, Aneet had been quietly building her career. She began modelling as a teenager, fronting campaigns for major brands. Her acting journey started with a brief role in Salaam Venky (2022), followed by wider recognition through the Amazon Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry in 2024.
She later appeared on television in Yuva Sapno Ka Safar. Then came 2025’s breakthrough- Saiyaara, which went on to become the highest-grossing romantic film of all time and one of the year’s biggest commercial hits. Alongside its box office triumph, Aneet earned praise for her heartfelt performance.
