New Delhi: Students should have a minimum of 75 per cent attendance to be able to appear for the 10th and 12th examinations to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). But those students who don't have required attendance owing to a prolonged illness, death of parents or some serious incidents and for sports events may be considered to appear in Class X and XII board exams with the required documents.

The CBSE in its latest notice has directed all schools to calculate attendance of students who have to appear for class 10 and class 12 board exams this year as on January 1, 2020.
