Youth found dead under mysterious circumstances; murder suspected

Boudh: Police today recovered the body of a youth from a field in Keuntipalli village under Manamunda police limits of the district. The deceased has been identified as Minaketan Putel of nearby Gochhapada village, police said.

As per sources, the locals of Keuntipalli first saw the body of Putel lying in a field and immediately informed his family and police about the incident.

Getting information, Manamunda police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it for post mortem.

“People informed us after finding a dead body in Keutipalli field. We have recovered the body and started investigation. Till now there is no confirmation on who has done this. We can only ascertain anything after a detailed investigation and post mortem report. He has sustained minor injury near his ear and we could not find any other injury in his body.”

Meanwhile, suspecting foul play, family members of Putel alleged that he has been murdered. His brother, Chaitanya Putel said, "After having food, he left for his field yesterday evening. When he did not return, we searched for him this morning and were informed that his body is lying in a field. He has sustained internal injury in his head and we think someone has murdered him.”
