Islamabad: The crucial joint session of Pakistan Parliament that will endorse new terms of engagement with the US began here today following a string of crises, including the November 26 NATO strike, that took relations to an all-time low.

The joint session of the Senate and National Assembly, summoned by President Asif Ali Zardari, will debate the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security for revamping the country`s strategic ties with the US.
