Melfort: An Indian driver whose truck was involved in a crash that killed 16 people on an ice hockey team bus has been sentenced to eight years in prison, according to media reports.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was sentenced on Friday by Saskatchewan Province Judge Inez Cardinal to eight years for each of those killed and five years for each of the 13 injured but she ordered that the prison terms run concurrently so he will face a maximum of only eight years.
