Colombo: India today agreed to provide 326 million Lankan rupees to restore the Thirukatheeswaram temple, one of the holiest Hindu shrines in Sri Lanka.

The restoration work of the temple in the northeastern district of Mannar is to be undertaken with the assistance of Archaeological Survey of India and the College of Architecture and Sculpture, Indian High Commission said in a statement here.
