New York: Hillary Clintons new book "What Happened," about her stunning loss in 2016 to Donald Trump, has sold more than 300,000 copies in its opening week. This figure, disclosed by the publisher Simon & Schuster, reflects combined sales in all formats of hardcover, e-book and audio.

According to sales figures from Nielsen BookScan, which tracks 85 percent of book sales in the United States (excluding digital and audio sales), Clinton has sold 167,000 hardcover copies of her book since it came out on September 12. The publisher has said that when you account for ebook and audiobook sales, Clinton's sales numbers surpass 300,000 copies.
