The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday afternoon issued a nowcast warning indicating that light to moderate thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and light rainfall, are likely to occur at one or two places across the affected districts within the next three hours in Odisha.
The advisory from the regional Meteorological centre includes the Twin City of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, with similar warning alerts extended to Puri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts.
Public Advisory Issued
Under the ‘Yellow Message – Be Aware’ category, residents have been advised to remain vigilant and monitor weather conditions closely. The centre has urged people to be prepared to move to safer places in case of lightning activity in order to avoid potential lightning strikes.
