The 2024 ICC U-19 World Cup is witnessing action-packed performances from a fresh batch from India. The youngsters are continuing the legacy of Indian Cricket Team. While Indian skipper Uday Saharan is the top-scorer of the tournament so far, Musheer Khan who is also in a stunning form is at the no.2 in the list. Then there is Sachin at No.3 who is trending on the internet. Here’s why. We are talking about 19-year-old Sachin Dhas who hails from Beed in Maharastra. When India were 4 down for 32, Sachin played a big part in the all-important semi final match against South Africa. Sachin made a crucial 96 of 95 balls to bail his team out of trouble. He has left everyone in awe of his six-hitting prowess during an invitational U-19 tournament in Pune. The teenager’s six-hitting ability left the organisers so perplexed that they even checked the size of his bat to make sure that there was no foul play. According to Sachin’s father, the young cricketer was named after the legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who is one of his favourite cricketers. In a media interview, he also revealed he had planned to make his son a cricketer even before he was born. It is pertinent to mention here that Sachin Dhas is now the third-highest run scorer of the tournament with 294 runs from six innings at an average of 73.50 and a strike rate of 116.6. He will be eager to play another match-winning knock for his team in the final of the tournament on Sunday, February 11 at the Willowmoore Park, Benoni.
