Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharsuguda on September 27. During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting. The Chief Minister’s Office has released information regarding the Prime Minister’s upcoming tour to Odisha.

Earlier, PM Modi was supposed to address a public meeting in Berhampur on September 27. However, as the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and wind in Berhampur on September 27, PM Modi's visit has been reportedly shifted to Jharsuguda.

Unveiling of Projects Worth Rs 1,700,000,0000

The PM will reportedly unveil and lay foundation of several projects worth around Rs 1700 crore during his visit.

Among the several infrastructure projects set to be unveiled by the PM, a special focus will be on railways, promising transformation of rail connectivity and economic prospects in the region.

Besides, Modi is likely to flag off the Amrit Bharat Express between Berhampur and Surat, which is seen as a big move in the interest of the thousands of people travelling on the route on daily basis.

PM Modi's Odisha Visit Schedule & Preparations

Though the full schedule of PM Modi's visit is yet to be announced, it has been learnt that it could be a two-day visit. 

As per reports, Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal visited Jharsuguda a few days ago and took stock of the situation where the public meeting will be held. 

Samal also reportedly discussed with the local leaders about the programme. Meanwhile, preparations are underway in Jharsuguda for the PM's visit.

During his previous visit to Odisha in the month of September (2024), the Prime Minister had celebrated his birthday by eating 'Kheer' made by a tribal woman in the Gadakana area in Bhubaneswar. He had also launched the 'Subhadra Yojana' yojana.
