At least 40 fishing boats turned into ashes after a fire broke out at Visakhapatnam Harbour on Sunday night. Each of the boats costs nearly 15 lakhs putting the estimated loss in the incident to around Rs. 30-35 crores range. An Indian Navy vessel had to be brought in to bring the fire under control over multiple fire engines struggled to douse the flames. After dousing the blaze, firefighters declared that no causalities had been reported. Police said that diesel containers and gas cylinders blasted during a part in a boat caused the fire.
