These are the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test-qualified aspirants who are begging money on the streets. Several aspiring teachers took to the streets of Bhubaneswar and resorted to begging as a form of protest on Friday (Nov 12) alleging that the government has failed to create enough posts for them.

These Sanskrit teacher aspirants alleged that the state government has failed to create adequate number of teaching posts for them as compared to the other subjects.

The protestors stated that even after completing their B.Ed and clearing the OSSTET (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test) and CBT (Computer Based Test), they are unable to get jobs due to the low number of posts.
