The officials of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Wednesday (October 6) seized over 2000 rotten eggs packed in 10 cartons from a passenger auto-rickshaw while it was being transported from a hatchery in Athagarh area.
The rotten eggs were reportedly being supplied to a bakery factory in Cuttack. Locals suspect that the bakery factories are using these rotten eggs to cut their production cost. A thorough probe has been initiated into the matter.
