In a bid to combine multiple tasks, a 9th class student from Berhampur has thought of something really unique. He has created a washing machine that can by operated with cycle pedals. With his innovation, he aims to keep people physically fit while performing daily chores liking washing clothes with ease.
B.Satya Narayan Patra, a student of Medical Campus Government High School has created this washing machine with a plastic drum and bicycle pedals. There is an axle inside the drum like washing machines which is connected to the free wheel of the cycle. The wheels of the cycle have been taken out and the plastic drum has been connected to it.
A steel net like structure has been placed inside the drum to help in washing clothes when the axle is operated with pedals.
