Another Police Constable has come under the Vigilance scanner, this time from Berhampur. Monday morning, officials of the anti-corruption wing launched simultaneous raids on the houses and property associated with Constable Sudarsan Pradhan for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

As per reports, searches were carried out at his 3-storey building in Lochapada area on the outskirts of Berhampur, his house in Nimakhandi and his paternal house in Bhanjanagar of Ganjam district.

While raids are still underway, Rs 5.16 lakh in cash has been recovered so far during house search.

Recently, another Constable from the Odisha Police department had come under the scanner. The Vigilance Directorate detected property worth around Rs 7 crore owned by the police constable Prasanna Kumar Behera who was suspended and arrested on charges of running a bar illegally, without license and in violation of COVID-19 guidelines.
