The war at the Gaza strip intensifies. Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson claimed that troops are in Gaza after a night of air and artillery attacks against Hamas. As IDF believes that Hamas Headquarters are mostly situated in Northern Gaza, they carried out heavy strikes at the region. It had left a thick haze of smoke over Gaza and Southern Israel. Israel said that they had hit 150 "underground targets" of the Hamas. Speaking about the current situation in a media statement, IDF spokesperson said that we are still in northern Gaza, fighting a weaker enemy. The assault on Friday night has cut off landlines, internet and any other cellular communication from the enclave. Organizations like Palestinian Red Cross and Human Rights Watch have expressed their concern about the total blackout in the region. However reports are analyzing this blackout as IDF’s hint to ‘expand’ ground operations.
