Days after people were treated to the most beautiful cosmic phenomena - the Total Lunar Eclipse or brilliance of a Blood Moon - skygazers are now set to witness another cosmic event on Thursday (June 10). Millions of skywatchers will be able to spot a 'Ring of Fire' around the Sun as the first solar eclipse (Surya Grahan) of the year 2021 will occur on Thursday.
A solar eclipse happens when the Moon moves directly between the Sun and Earth, casting a shadow on Earth and fully or partially blocking the Sun’s light. However, this rare cosmic phenomenon will not be visible in India except in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh for a few minutes before the sunset. It will be visible in parts of Russia, Greenland, and northern Canada. Also, Northern Asia, Europe, and the United States will see a partial eclipse.
According to the Indian time, it may start around 1:42 pm and conclude at 6:41 pm. Meanwhile, this year's Solar Eclipse is also believed to have an auspicious and inauspicious effects on the zodiac signs. Reports suggest that Taurus, Gemini, Libra and Capricorn will be the most affected in this solar eclipse. Taurus - the second of the 12 astrological signs, may face health problems and financial issues as well during this period.
Gemini- The third zodiac sign Gemini might get into financial roadblocks at this time. Libra - As per predictions, people belonging to 'Libra' may experience restlessness at the time. Capricorns - people of this sign may face disappointment and loss during the eclipse. As a precaution, these zodiac signs are advised to take special care of their health and wealth during the Surya Grahan.
