The third wave of Covid-19 is unlikely to have an impact as severe as the second wave. Speaking on the possible arrival of third wave in the country in August, Odisha DMET Chief CBK Mohanty informed that the severity of the third wave of Covid-19 will be lower in Odisha as compared to the rest of the country.

However, at this stage it is difficult to predict when the third wave will hit as the daily Covid-19 cases are on a downward trajectory, the DMET chief said.
