The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has come up with a new notification regarding the publication of Class 10 and Class 12 results. On Thursday, the CBSE board announced that the portal for moderation and finalisation of CBSE Class 12 results will open from July 16 till July 22. According to the board, the portal link is available on cbse.gov.in.

CBSE has asked all its affiliated schools to follow the schedule strictly and complete the moderation between July 16 and July 22 ahead of the announcement of the Class 12 board results on July 31. The CBSE reiterated that every effort should be made to announce valid, reliable and unbiased results.

The board has also mandated the schools to moderate the marks in a manner that the results are comparable and unequal application of policy within schools and across schools should be avoided. Moreover, the board has assured the schools that an user-friendly software has been developed by the CBSE to facilitate schools in moderation of marks. The guidelines of its operation will be made available on the portal.

The software will have a section on subject-wise moderation and overall moderation. Earlier, CBSE had provided a new tabulation policy for Class 10 and Class 12 students. According to the new policy Class 12 students will be marked based on their Class 11 and Class 10 results.

At least 40% of the marks will be based on 12th pre-board results and 60% weightage will be given to the performance of the students in Class 11 and Class 10 final exams.
