A joint squad of Commissionerate Police and Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) busted a fake Gutkha manufacturing unit in Malgodown area on Sunday. Huge quantity of adulterated gutkha and other tobacco products were seized during the raid.
According to senior officials of the Commissionerate police, huge quantities of an item containing Cannabis were also recovered from the factory. City Health Officer of the CMC, Dr Satyabrata Mohapatra said that appropriate action will be taken against the accused based on investigation.
Meanwhile, the owner of the unit has been detained by the Commissionerate Police while further investigation in the matter is underway.
