The number of Covid-19 cases in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar are not seeing a desirable decline because of increased surveillance & testing. However, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) has remained below 5 per cent, informed Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Chief, CBK Mohanty on Friday (July 9).

Echoing similar sentiments, Odisha Health Services Director Bijay Mohapatra on Friday also stated that the influx of moderate to severe cases in the hospitals has declined which indicates that the situation is under control. He also stated that testing and surveillance in slums and rural areas will also be increased to bring the situation under control.
