Predictions on Corona's third wave by various models are not completely reliable, stated Directorate of Medical Education & Training Chief, CBK Mohanty on Wednesday (Aug 25).
Mohanty stated that different models are based on data regarding community transmissions, number of people taking vaccination and people adhering to Covid appropriate behaviour. However, information from various models might not be completely accurate.
Comparing the NIDM report with the IIT Kanpur Model, Mohanty stated that while NIDM's report states that third wave might witness 5-6 lakh case daily, IIT Kanpur's model suggests that the third wave's effect will be lower compared to the second wave.
