The members of the notorious KBN gang whose activities have turned out to be a major concern, have been taken into police remand on Saturday (November 13.) According to sources, 5 arrested members were presented before the court and have been taken into remand for further interrogation by the Commissionerate Police.
However, around 20 members of the group are still absconding including the gang leader Bubu Jena. Police are reportedly continuing their investigation regarding the other members of the gang and trying to establish their motive and other details.
Earlier Bhubaneswar DCP had said that 7 members of the notorious gang have been arrested after videos purportedly showing gang members brandishing weapons surfaced. Police also conducted searches and raids on the houses of a couple of gang members following tipoff that they have been possessing weapons.
During the raids and searches, Police have recovered sharp weapons from the houses of the concerned members.
