A woman whose mobile phone was allegedly stolen, has lost Rs 3.5 lakh from her bank account. The victim woman has been identified as a resident of Chhatrali village under Soro of Balasore district.
The woman, who is reportedly an insurance agent and also sells products from home, has lodged a complaint that 2 persons stole her mobile phone. Later the miscreants used her mobile phone for online purchases to the tune of Rs 3.5 lakh and made payments from her account.
After coming to know about the online transactions through her passbook, the woman lodged complaint against 3 persons at Soro Police Station.
