All the labourers are reportedly from Rayagada district and they were taken to Uttar Pradesh for engagement in a factory.
The deceased, identified as Asutosh Mohapatra, had left home in Khamarsahi in the afternoon of January 23, but never returned. Later in the evening, the family, received a ransom call from an unknown number demanding Rs 5 lakh.
Though the exact reason behind the death of the leopard is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the big cat might have died a couple of days back.
