In a major breakthrough in Cuttack Christ College student Tusharkanti Sahu’s death case, Jagatpur police on Monday (27 September) has arrested two persons.
The accused have been identified as Dibya Ranjan Behera and Kaushal Pradhan. According to Zone-1 ACP, Amarendra Panda, the victim had developed an intimate relationship with a girl from his college. Later, they had some altercation following which the girl, her elder sister along with the two accused harassed the deceased for two to three months.
Tushar was unable to bear the torture and committed suicide. Earlier on August 4, Tushar’s family had lodged a missing complaint with the Phase-2 Police Station in Cuttack. Later on August 5, his body was recovered from Jobra Barrage on Mahanadi River.
