The day of Diwali turned bloody in Odisha as two murders were reported from separate places on Monday.While one person was allegedly murdered in Puri, one was killed in Nayagarh district on Diwali night. Besides, another person was injured.

The victim alleged that the constable maintained physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage. After staying together in a live-in relationship, the accused constable started avoiding her.
The victim filed an FIR about the theft case at Chandrasekharpur police station. Chandrasekharpur police has started an investigation into the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Rojalin Patra, a third-year electrical engineering student. As per sources, Rojalin was a brilliant student and selected for four campus placements.
The reason behind his suicide is yet to be ascertained.
