‘Please, bring my father back’! This little girl burst into tears while pleading to the Naxals to release her father. Family members are comforting her. ‘Yes, your father will return’, they are assuring her. This desperate cry of this young girl to see her father back at the home would melt even the toughest of hearts.

These scenes are from Jammu and Kashmir. This is the 5-year old daughter of CRPF Jawan Rakeshwar Singh Manhas who went missing after the Maoist ambush in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. While police is clueless on the whereabouts of the CRPF jawan, Maoists have released a letter stating that they have held the missing jawan as hostage. The naxals have also released a picture of Rakeshwar.

Missing jawan Rakeshwar hails from Jammu and Kashmir. The entire family of Rakeshwar was devastated after learning about the missing report of Rakeshwar. Seeing the young daughter tearfully demanding her father's freedom is heart wrenching for not just the family members, but for all countrymen.

The family members of Rakeshwar have requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to rescue him from the clutches of the naxals. The only relief for the family is their son is safe and alive. On Saturday (April 3), 22 jawans lost their lives in the Naxal attack in the Bastar forest near Sukma-Bijapur border. 31 jawans have sustained injuries and are currently under treatment
