Sometimes fate hides behind the smallest decisions. For Amit Sehra, a humble vegetable seller from Kotputli in Jaipur, that twist of destiny came during a casual trip to Punjab. With barely enough money in his pocket, Amit borrowed a small amount from his friend Mukesh to buy a Punjab State 'Diwali Bumper 2025' lottery ticket from a shop in Bathinda, never imagining it would change his life overnight.
From Two Tickets to Crores
Amit bought two tickets, one for himself and another for his wife. When the results were announced on October 31, disbelief struck: his ticket had won the top prize of Rs 11 crore, while his wife’s fetched Rs 1,000. Overwhelmed with emotion, Amit said he couldn’t even afford to travel to Chandigarh to claim the winnings. “It is God’s blessing that he gave me chhappar phad ke,” he said tearfully.

Gratitude and Big Dreams
Amit plans to use the money wisely, building a home, securing his children’s education, and repaying kindness where it’s due. In a touching gesture, he has promised to give Rs 1 crore to his friend Mukesh, who lent him the money to buy the lucky ticket.
A New Dawn
From pushing a vegetable cart to becoming a crorepati, Amit’s story is a heartwarming reminder that hope, gratitude, and a little faith can truly change lives. As he says, “All my grief and sorrows have vanished today.”
