Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi alleged fixing between the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Congress. He said since the government would have landed in trouble over the Mahanga double murder and law and order situation, the Congress party preferred to stall the proceedings by raking up the issue of the alleged corruption in the Odisha State Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).
The opposition in Odisha Assembly demanded the resignation of Law Minister Pratap Jena who was not charge-sheeted in the Mahanga double murder case despite his name figuring in the FIR.
Restrictions will be imposed on plying of vehicles on roads adjacent to the Odisha Legislative Assembly during the monsoon session commencing September 1.
All MLAs, their drivers, personal staff and all workers and staff of Odisha Assembly will undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR tests ahead of the Monsoon session begining September 1.
