The Commissionerate Police on Tuesday issued a notification on the restrictions to be imposed on the plying of vehicles in the State capital during the monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly commencing tomorrow (September 1).

The restrictions will be clamped under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Law 2003 to ensure safety on roads adjacent to the Odisha Legislative Assembly, the CP said. 

The restrictions will be in force from September 1, 2001 to September 9, 2021, when the State Assembly will be in session.

Here are the restrictions:

All vehicles coming from Housing Board side will be diverted to left lane of Keshari Talkies. 

All vehicles coming from AG Chhak to PMG Chowk will be diverted near Jaydev Bhavan and go to their destination via Indira Gandhi Park Road on the right.

All vehicles coming to Master Canteen towards Upper PMG can pass through the left or right side of the Lower PMG intersection but they will not be allowed to travel on Mahatma Gandhi Road.

All vehicles approaching PMG Square from 120 Battalion will diver to Power House Square. 

All vehicles going to MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap frp, Raj Bhavan Square will be diverted towards Shastri Nagar.

The restrictions will not be applicable to vehicles going to the Legislative Assembly, the State Secretariat and other government offices.
