The tension over claiming of a forest land at Sunabeda village under Pottangi block of the district continues to simmer between the two neighbouring state over the past few days

The Odisha government on Wednesday formed the high-level committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary while its members include the Development Commissioner and Principal Secretaries of Home, Revenue, Water Resource, Power, and Mass And Higher Education departments.

In her complaint, Anganwadi worker Kasturi Raita alleged that she was threatened by a Sarpanch of Budarsing Panchayat of Andhra Pradesh when she had gone to Gudikhudi village to distribute Chatua and other dry foods.
