Facebook Inc. will now be called Meta, company founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said while announcing rebranding of the social media giant at the company’s Connect 2021 presentation held virtually on Thursday.
According to the new Information Technology Rules, 2021, it is mandatory for social media intermediaries like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to trace chats and make provisions to identify the first originator of the information.
