The minister also added that apart from pandemic and health emergencies, there is an ample scope of collaboration among countries like in the field of vaccine preventable diseases with high morbidity and mortality and for those diseases with no vaccines available currently such as AIDS, TB, etc.
Earlier on January 10, Mandaviya had held a meeting with the health ministers and senior officials of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Dadra & Nagra Haveli and Daman & Diu.

The next phase of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from March 1 for people over 60 years and those aged 45 and above with specified co-morbid conditions.
Releasing the National Comprehensive Guidelines, the Union Minister said these modules will provide guidance to doctors and healthcare workers to deal with the issues of long term effects of Covid.
The countrywide vaccination drive against the corona virus has been recorded to 80 crore doses till date and Friday was described as as a golden chapter in world history.
India's vaccination coverage against coronavirus under the mass vaccination drive has crossed the landmark of 63 crore. Over 73 lakh doses have been administered in the last 24 hours.
