UGC Chairman Professor M. Jagadesh Kumar said that the Commission has sought the details for admission to UG programmes on the basis of CUET-2022 in 45 Central universities across the country. Under this, varsities have been asked about the preparations they have made for admission on the basis of CUET score cards.
According to NTA, the highest number of 100 percentilers were in English at 8,236, followed by Political Science (2,065), Business Studies (1,669), Biology (1,324) and 1,188 Economics.

Information regarding the cities and dates of examinations will be sent on Saturday and the Admit cards will be released on August 20.
In the entrance test, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), question will only be based on Class 12 syllabus and in case any question is found wrong or if any question is withdrawn, five marks will be given to the candidates in lieu of that question.
There have been reports that several students who were unable to take the CUET UG exam held on July 15 for one reason or the other. Though UGC has ruled out retest for those students, the Chairman of the commission shared what such students could do next.
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 started on Friday for admission to undergraduate courses in colleges. Around 14,90,000 candidates have registered for the CUET-UG.
The Commission informed that application for CUET UG will be available in 1st week of April 2022. The entrance test will be conducted online in 13 languages namely Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English.
