In Jammu division, a CRPF trooper and a terrorist were killed in separate encounters, with additional injuries to five soldiers and an SPO. The incidents occurred in Seda Sohal and Chattargalla areas, involving intense engagements with terrorists.

In a historic move, 2,600 cooks and water carriers of the CRPF were promoted from constables to head constables, marking their first-ever promotion in the force's 85-year history. This change affects personnel recruited between 1983 and 2004, fulfilling long-standing career aspirations.

Two CRPF personnel were killed and two injured in an armed attack at a security camp in Manipur's Bishnupur district. The assault, involving gunfire and bombings by suspected Kuki armed groups, resulted in the deaths of Sub Inspector N. Sarkar and Head Constable Arup Saini.

The deceased was identified as Assistant Commandant Sunil Kumar, posted at the CRPF's 4th Bn headquarters in Rayagada town.
