Smriti Mandhana narrowly missed out on a maiden Women’s Premier League century, but her superb 96 guided Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to a dominant eight-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals, keeping them unbeaten after four matches at the top of the WPL 2026 points table at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy.
Chasing a target of 167, RCB completed the chase with ten balls to spare. The only disappointment for the Bengaluru side was Mandhana falling just four runs short of becoming the first centurion of the season, having struck 96 off 61 deliveries.

Earlier, Mandhana opted to bowl after winning the toss, and RCB made an immediate impact. Lauren Bell struck twice in the opening over, removing Lizee Lee for 4 and Laura Wolvaardt for a duck. Sayali Satghare then dealt another double blow, dismissing Jemimah Rodrigues and Marizanne Kapp in successive deliveries to leave Delhi reeling at 10 for 4.
Delhi were rescued by Shafali Verma, who counter-attacked with a brilliant 62 off 41 balls, smashing five fours and four sixes. She added 59 runs for the fifth wicket with Niki Prasad, who managed 12. Sneh Rana chipped in with 22, while debutant Lucy Hamilton provided late momentum with a quick 36 off 19 balls. Delhi were bowled out on the final ball for 166.

RCB’s chase suffered an early setback when Grace Harris fell in the first over, but Mandhana and Georgia Voll put on a record 142-run stand for the second wicket. Mandhana dominated the scoring, while Voll grew in confidence to finish unbeaten on 54 off 42 balls. Richa Ghosh added the finishing touches as RCB cruised to victory.
With four wins from four matches, RCB remain firmly in control of the tournament.
