Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s sensational rise shows no signs of slowing down. The 14-year-old prodigy continues to rewrite record books, delivering yet another extraordinary performance in India’s U19 Asia Cup clash against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday at the ICC Cricket Academy.
The young left-hander unleashed a stunning knock of 171 off just 95 deliveries, smashing nine fours and an incredible 14 sixes. Batting with a remarkable strike rate of 180, Suryavanshi left the UAE attack completely helpless as he dominated from the outset.
During his explosive innings, Suryavanshi set a new world record for the most sixes in a Youth ODI innings, surpassing Australia’s Michael Hill, who had struck 12 sixes against Namibia U19 back in 2008.
Hailing from Samastipur in Bihar and representing Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, Suryavanshi also became the first cricketer to hit more than 50 sixes in Youth ODIs across a career—another historic milestone.

The teenager raced to his century in just 56 balls, laying the foundation for India’s commanding total of 433/6 in 50 overs. Contributions from Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra, both of whom scored 69, further strengthened India’s dominance as they cruised past the 400-run mark.
Suryavanshi has been in red-hot form recently. Earlier in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the left-hander shattered multiple records, including becoming the first teenager ever to score three T20 centuries.
